Designed in partnership with GreenWin, essenscia, clusters Infopôle and Plastiwin, and approved research centres CETIC, Sirris and CERTECH with the aim of facilitating digital transition within Walloon companies, ChiMérique focuses on the importance of implementing eco-friendly and sustainable methods within companies, and on the contributions that digitalisation bring to these very same enterprises.
Julie BRUGHMANS is a Business Engineer (UMons – 2015). With her passion for entrepreneurship and the business world, it was only natural that she began her career as Business Developer at the LME business and innovation centre in Mons (La Maison de l’Entreprise) where her first mission was the launch of one of Wallonia’s hubs for students-entrepreneurs. She gives support and assistance to promoters of projects and businesses: from the structing of projects (identification of goals, estimation of value, production processes etc…) to fundraising, via the defining of the value of a company, Julie puts innovative projects to the test with her creativity and unique way of looking at the world.
In 2020 she undertook a new professional challenge with the creation of LeCLICK, the creative Hub located in the Cœur du Hainaut region. With her team, she set up one of the main components of « LeCLICK», namely the Umons Innovation Centre, the result of a collaboration between IDEA and Umons. At LeCLICK, Digital Is King: from the IOT (a specificity in Wallonia) to immersive technologies, via the CNC machines of the FabLab, Julie has been developing her knowledge of digital technologies and their usefulness for companies.
Julie also gained international experience, first with a three-month end-of-study internship working for Wallonia’s Economic and Commercial Attaché in Toronto, then on the occasion of numerous European support programmes during which, for example, she supported European researchers with the commercial development of their projects (EBN).
Her professional experience also makes it quite natural that she chose to join GreenWin as Digital Transition Project Manager in August 2022 where, as such, she is responsible for the monitoring and management of ChiMérique, an award-winning project that fell within the framework of the « Industry of the Future 2021 » call to projects that was launched by the Walloon Region in a bid to support companies with their digital transition.
About the Conferences…
The purpose of the conferences is to screen the digital technology used to boost activities in the fields of green chemistry and white biotechnology around the world, to share knowledge and encourage the creation of new R&D projects in the sector at regional and international scale.
The first day, on 28 September, will focus on Digital Transition while the second one, on 29 September, will focus on Artificial Intelligence. Both days will be animated by Tieneke Van Hooland, from Bio.be by essenscia.
