Machine Learning and AI: Some applications for the digital transformation in Industry 4.0

Ondalys is a leader in France for the digital transformation, especially in developing and implementing Data Science and Machine Learning (ML) tools for Industry 4.0. Industrial analytics aims at making sense from different kinds of data: at different scales (R&D, Pilot, Production), in different modes (off-, at-, in- or on-line) and coming from different analytical techniques or sensors (formulation, process parameters, spectroscopy like NIR or Raman, chromatography, mass spectrometry…). Based on 20 years of experience in different industrial fields (food industry, (bio-)pharmaceuticals, and chemical industry), Ondalys has implemented many kinds of applications, using Design of Experiments (DOE), data mining, pattern recognition, predictive modeling, PAT (Process Analytical Technology) and QbD (Quality by Design), and process monitoring and control using on-line sensors.
This presentation will show 1 or 2 specific applications using ML and AI for Green Chemistry and White Biotechs customers.

Sébastien PREYS has obtained a PhD in Chemometrics/Data Science/Machine Learning at INRA Research Centre in Agriculture at Montpellier, France. The main topic was about multi-blocks analysis, to be combined in a multivariate way different datasets, coming from different analytical techniques. He has been working for Ondalys company for 15 years, providing services and training in Data Science for process industry, dealing with spectroscopic data, process parameters, sensory data, chromatography, MS, NMR,… Main applications encompass design of experiments, data mining, spectroscopic calibrations, predictive modeling and process monitoring.

About the Conferences...

The purpose of the conferences is to screen the digital technology used to boost activities in the fields of green chemistry and white biotechnology around the world, to share knowledge and encourage the creation of new R&D projects in the sector at regional and international scale.

The first day, on 28 September, will focus on Digital Transition while the second one, on 29 September, will focus on Artificial Intelligence. Both days will be animated by Ms. Tieneke VAN HOOLAND from Bio.be by essenscia.
