Find out our Probayes detect production deviations and resolve them through AI

A manufacturing process – such as a chemical process for example - regularly presents one or more random factors that are difficult to control and can have marginal impact on either the quality of the production, or the durability of an equipment on the line, for instance. These influencing factors can be exogenous (seasonal weather), or linked to the quality of the raw material, or can result from errors in the process (task sequencing and/or duration) etc. The identification of these factors can be complex, especially when the process itself is complex.
When conventional analytical logic (such as explicit simplified modelling) is not sufficient, automatic statistical modelling approaches (machine learning and deep learning) can open up new avenues of understanding.
The presentation will highlight -with a concrete example of a polymerisation issue- the methodology and logic deployed by Probayes to support process engineers in their understanding of production deviations, as well as the analysis of influencing factors.

Following his engineering studies in Multiphysics at Ecole Polytechnique (France) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technologies (US), Pierre GUENOUN has worked in a number of engineering environments (mechanical, electronics, process) in a number of different fields (automotive, aeronautics, defence, pharmaceutical), holding positions such as project leader or executive assistant. Since joining Probayes – a leading company in tailored Artificial Intelligence Solutions for the industry- in 2020, Pierre has led various large-scale projects, ranging from anomaly detection, explicability in machine learning, and modelling, amongst others.

 

About the Conferences…

The purpose of the conferences is to screen the digital technology used to boost activities in the fields of green chemistry and white biotechnology around the world, to share knowledge and encourage the creation of new R&D projects in the sector at regional and international scale.

The first day, on 28 September, will focus on Digital Transition while the second one, on 29 September, will focus on Artificial Intelligence. Both days will be animated by Tieneke Van Hooland, from Bio.be by essenscia.
